WINTER TIRES

The main advantage of winter tires is their high performance on snow compared to chains. It should also be noted its excellent effectiveness when the temperature is below 7 degrees and when the surface is wet.

As a disadvantage we find that its performance drops considerably when the asphalt is dry and the temperature is somewhat higher, causing greater wear on the tire.


CHAINS

In contrast, the chains are much cheaper than buying the winter tires and having to go to a workshop to be assembled.

For people who do not plan to drive on snow and do not intend to do so, we recommend you wear chains because you never know when they may need them and they can save you from a dangerous and unwanted situation.

The main disadvantage of the use of chains is that they limit the speed of circulation, usually at about 50 km / hour.


WHAT DO I BUY?

The most advisable thing is that you act according to the climate of your locality, in case of living in the northern half of the peninsula we recommend the use of winter tires during the same. On the contrary, if you live in a drier and hotter area such as the south of the peninsula, we recommend you to wear chains since they will be useful at very specific moments.
